On the morning of September 19, a seven-member delegation led by Alp Atakan, Dean of the School of Economics and Finance at the Queen Mary University of London, visited the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS).

Assistant to the President Zhan Long welcomed the delegation in Room 132 of the Administration Building at the Liangxiang Campus. Zhan Long extended a warm welcome to representatives, introducing the history, unique educational features, and talent development programs of UCASS. He also reviewed the history of cooperation between the two institutions and highlighted their collaborative achievements. Zhan expressed UCASS's strong commitment to the joint education program with Queen Mary University and looked forward to further partnership. Alp Atakan thanked Zhan for the warm reception and provided an overview of Queen Mary University's academic and research strengths, expressing interest in expanding inter-university collaboration across more areas.
The Queen Mary University delegation also held discussions with leaders or representatives from the School of Economics, School of Applied Economics, School of Government, School of International Politics and Economics, School of Foreign Languages, and the School of Chinese Language and Literature at UCASS. Both sides expressed a strong desire to deepen their cooperation, hoping to foster closer collaboration in academic research and talent cultivation and jointly drive progress and development in related fields.
