Academic Symposium Explores the History of Qin and Han Dynasties: Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation

On November 24, the academic symposium on "The History of Qin and Han Dynasties: Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation" was convened in Beijing. Organized by UCASS, the event was co-hosted by the Journal of UCASS Editorial Office and the UCASS School of History, with the support of the Historiography Bimonthly Editorial Office. It brought together key attendees such as Gao Wenshu, Member of UCASS Party Standing Committee and Vice President of UCASS; Bu Xianqun, Member of CASS and President of the Chinese Society of Qin and Han History; and Zhan Long, Assistant President of UCASS and Executive Dean of UCASS School of History.


The symposium featured three sub-forums, where 35 scholars engaged in in-depth discussions on core topics such as the Qin-Han bamboo slips and local administration, governance of frontiers and ethnic relations during the Qin and Han dynasties, and the ideological and cultural dimensions of community identity in that historical context.
