School of Government


The School of Government offers three majors for undergraduates: Political Science and Public Administration, Public Administration, and Labor and Social Security. The School is known for its two first-level disciplines, Political Science and Public Administration, both with robust foundations and promising prospects. It provides four featured majors: Political Science, Administrative Management, Urban Management, and Demography and Labor Economy, alongside its five key majors of Contemporary Chinese Politics, Party Politics, Comparative Politics, Labor and Social Security, and Urban Environmental Governance.


There are 538 registered students and 30 faculty members. Besides, the School has engaged 29 senior researchers from the Institute of Political Sciences and the Institute of Information Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences as distinguished professors and academic tutors.


The School focuses on provision of rich opportunities for students through practical experiences and various international programs as much as it values theoretical studies. The School has maintained good relations with York University, University of Sheffield, University of California, Berkeley, and Johns Hopkins University for student and academic exchanges.
