Schools & Departments


The School of Economics has three majors for undergraduates: Economics, Financial Management, and International Economics and Trade, with another one for Finance in the pipeline. There are 712 registered students and 36 faculty members, 11 of whom have studied abroad. Western Economics, World Economics, Quantitative Economics and Finance are its featured disciplines.


The School integrates in great depth scientific research with education by engaging with a number of research institutes of the Academic Division of Economics of CASS, and by working closely with relevant departments of well-known universities such as Peking University and Renmin University of China. Besides, it has established cooperation with China Foreign Trade Center, Yonyou Software, and Beijing Institute of Certified Public Accountants to provide students with diverse opportunities of premium internships and practicums.


The School has set up a number of scientific research platforms, such as the Research Center for Big Data and Public Policy, the Research Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Research Center for Public Economics, Investment and Financing, so as to promote research results and champion positive changes to public policies.
