On June 28, the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS) held the 2024 Degree Conferral and Graduation Ceremonies at its Liangxiang Campus. Zhao Rui, Vice President and Party Leadership Group Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the graduation ceremony. Party Secretary Cui Weihang presided over the degree conferral and graduation ceremonies, and President Zhang Zhengwen delivered a speech to the graduates. All university leadership, deans of research-and-education-integrated schools, academic advisors, heads of departments, faculty representatives, and the entire graduating class of 2024 attended the ceremonies.
The degree conferral ceremony commenced at 8:30 a.m., with memebers of the University leadership, Cui Weihang, Zhang Zhengwen, Wang Qiliang, Zhang Shuhui, You Liqian, Gao Wenshu, Jiang Fei, Assistant to the President Zhan Long, and academic advisors from each school presenting degrees, holding the tassel-turning ceremony, and taking commemorative photos with the graduates. Cui Weihang presided over the ceremony. Graduates from the Class of 2024 were invited to the stage in sequence of school, where they received their degrees and participated in the tassel-turning ceremony. This year, the university conferred bachelor's degrees to 370 students, master's degrees to 1,191 students, and doctoral degrees to 219 students.
The 2024 graduation ceremony officially began at 7:30 p.m., presided over by Cui Weihang. Zhao Rui, Vice President of CASS, attended the event and unveiled outstanding student research results. University leadership, along with deans, academic advisors, department heads, faculty representatives, and the Class of 2024, attended the graduation ceremony. Some family members of the graduates also attended in person or watched via livestream.
