In November 2023, the University made a significant move to enhance its global academic standing by recruiting several distinguished former dignitaries from Central and Eastern European countries as visiting professors with honorary professorships. It was part of the UCASS’ efforts to welcome global figures of exceptional caliber under the guidance of CASS. Among those appointed were Borut Pahor, the former President of Slovenia; Gjorge Ivanov, the former President of North Macedonia; Mladen Ivanic, who previously served on the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina representing Serbs; Darko Pajović, the former Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro and former Ambassador of Montenegro to China; and Albert Rakipi, the former Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Albania and Director of Albanian Institute for International Studies.
This appointment marks a pivotal moment in bolstering not only internationalized educational excellence but also in expanding global influence. By enlisting such high-caliber individuals with rich backgrounds, this initiative underscores a commitment towards rich and high-quality development of UCASS.
