The School of Humanity and Law has two education centers: Master of Cultural Heritage and Museology Education Center (MCHM) and Master of Social Work Education Center (MSW).
MCHM is one of the first educational institutions approved by the government to grant the master degree in Cultural Heritage and Museology in China. It began to enroll students in 2012 with annual recruits of 50 students. It offers students four specialties: research and protection of cultural relics, museum curation and research, protection of Chinese intangible heritage and traditional skills, and studies of the Palace Museum. MCHM has carried out in-depth cooperation with a number of institutions such as the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Palace Museum. Having 63 supervisors and 108 teachers, it is regarded as the highest cultivation platform of its kind with the most comprehensive specialty coverage and the best faculty in China. Currently MCHM is working with many universities and research institutions in other countries and regions such as Japan, the UK and Taiwan in carrying out professional training programs.
MSW has an enrollment of 106 students with a faculty of 36 supervisors, including members of China National Social Work Education and Guidance Committee, consultants from the Ministry of Civil Affairs, special directors of China National Committee on Aging, and chairman of China Social Welfare Research Committee. The MSW program runs for two years. At present, it has established cooperation and exchange relations with some famous universities in other countries such as the United States, France, and Finland. The MSW also cooperates with universities in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The MSW emphasizes internationalization operating a series of academic exchange activities such as regular exchange of visiting professors, student exchange, and international seminars.
Master students of Cultural Heritage and Museology visited Japan to attend seminars on museology studies in June 2018.
