The School of International Relations focuses on the cultivation mode of foreign language + theory of international relations and hands-on skills. Currently it has three majors for undergraduates: English Linguistics and Literature, French Linguistics and Literature, and International Politics and International Affairs. There are currently 126 students and 19 faculty. Besides, the School has engaged 7 senior scholars as distinguished professors from the Institute of World Economics and Politics, the Institute of Russian, Eastern European & Central Asian Studies, the Institute of European Studies, the Institute Latin American Studies, and the Institute of American Studies of the Academy.
The School currently started the cooperation and exchange with well-known universities such as University of Liverpool and University of Exeter. Through the international academic week, expert lectures, academic seminars and other international exchange activities and various overseas exchange programs, the School helps students to deepen their professional knowledge and develop a global perspective.
The former European Union ambassador to China Klaus Ebermann spoke on EU-China Relations to students at GSCASS in 2013.
