The School of Economics currently has three majors for undergraduates: Economics, Financial Management, and International Economics and Trade, and is preparing to open Finance. There are currently 712 students and 36 faculty, 11 of whom have studied abroad. Western Economics, World Economy, Quantitative Economics, Finance, and Finance are its predominant disciplines.
The School conducts in-depth integration in scientific research and education with a number of research institutes of the Division of Economics of CASS, and works closely with relevant departments of well-known universities such as Peking University and Renmin University of China. Besides, it has established cooperation with China Foreign Trade Center, Yonyou Software, and Beijing Institute of Certified Public Accountants to provide students with opportunities of diversified and high-level internship and social practice.
The School has set up a number of scientific research platforms, such as the Research Center for Big Data and Public Policy, the Research Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Research Center for Public Economy and Investment and Financing, so as to promote the research results and to strengthen the influence on
public policies.
Professor Zhang Yuyan, Director-General of the CASS Institute of World Economics and Politics, distinguished professor gave a lecture on world economy to students in March 2018.
