The School of Political Science and Law offers 2 academic degree programs: Law and Sociology. Currently there are 834 undergraduates and postgraduates studying in the School. With 48 full-time faculty, the School has established in-depth cooperation with Institute of Law, Institute of International Law, and Institute of Sociology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The School engages 40 experts and scholars as distinguished professors and academic tutors, including some academicians of the Academy.
The School attaches equal importance to theoretical teaching and practical guidance in student cultivation. In 2018, the School won the first place at the 17th JESSUP International Law Moot Court Competition (China Division), third at the 17th Asia-Pacific Red Cross Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition, and second in the Beijing Foreign Studies University Intellectual Property International Moot Court Competition. The School provides a large number of internship opportunities for students, including the Supreme People's Court Internship Program, the International Court Internship Program, Hong Kong Plough Constellation Voyage Social Work Internship Program, etc.
The School tries hard to develop students' international vision, knowledge and skills to meet the needs of globalization, and provides students with opportunities of learning at some famous universities such as Goethe University Frankfurt, University of Notre Dame, and Leiden University.

The School of Political Science and Law student team went on to attend the 17th JESSUP International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington D. C., U.S. after winning championship at the China Round in 2019.
